Technical Support Engineer at Orb
Tokyo – Full Time
We’re looking for Technical Support Engineer for our product suite to work on business to help our sales and business development team. Our Technical Support Engineer is responsible in assisting customers with the installation, maintenance and administration of Orb products. Your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Orb customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our solution center. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with support and providing advice and assistance to internal our team members on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be the technical interface to customers, and resellers for resolution of problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use of Orb products. Your primary task will be to provide support to customers who contact the Orb solution center and maintain high level of customer satisfaction while meeting guidelines (mostly through electronic means). Able to work with general guidance from senior support engineers and management and, in some areas, may work independently. Solutions often take time to develop through research, collaboration or problem replication.
You are a technical expert with an entrepreneurial drive and passion for client management from technical perspective. You will enjoy working with our cutting-edge distributed ledger technology, multi-cultural team, and the ability to see your insights turned into real business from scratch. The perfect candidate will have a background in related technical support, sales engineering field, or will have experience in software engineer experience in system integrators for financial organizations. You are scrappy, focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the growth and success of a business. This position is located in our Tokyo office.
-2+ years professional experience and professional certification (i.e., CNE, MCSE, CPA, Oracle, etc.)
-Technical degree i.e., BS Computer Science/Management Information Systems/Science/ Engineering/Math/Physics/Chemistry
-The ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
-The ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
